Midnight Blue Jazz Society is Calgary’s most entertaining 17-piece big band. With a repertoire ranging from classic 1940’s big band arrangements to modern pop hits, our music draws from diverse styles including swing, jazz, blues, latin, funk and classic rock. We’ve performed as far away as Vancouver Island, Northwest Territories and even Cuba. In Calgary, you can find us playing at the Ironwood Stage Bar & Grill, The Rec Room and The Grand Theatre with local greats like Johnny Summers and Pat Belliveau. Our first EP was recorded at the National Music Centre.
Midnight Blue Jazz Society adds a fun and lively atmosphere to all kinds of events, including private parties, community gatherings, fundraisers, dance clubs, pub nights, dinner dances, weddings, variety shows and music festivals.

The Chocolate Drop That Won’t Stop.
Tré Da Marc is an international boylesque sensation that is singular in magnificent styling, scintillation and spectacle. Known for his trademark combination of sass and ass, he leaves his stamp (and a fair amount of glitter and sweat) on every stage he graces.
This international multi-award-winning performer began his burlesque career in 2013, at the Nudie Nubie Amateur Reveal Show where he won that month’s Nubie competition. Since then, he has performed in more than 40 festivals around the world, been featured internationally at the Vienna Boylesque Festival,the 2016 Amsterdam Burlesque Awards and Headliner of the 2025 Toronto Burlesque Festival.
Tré competed in the 2018 Mr. Exotic World/Best Boylesque Category at the Burlesque Hall Of Fame in Las Vegas. He was crowned King of Burlesque at the Noire Pageant in 2020 and was voted one of the Top 50 most influential burlesque industry figures of 2020-2022 by thousands of burlesque peers and fans worldwide.

The Appe-Teaser in Pleasers! Eda Mami is the heel-clacking, boot-stompin' mother of intentional movement from Jinju, South Korea. She has been stampede-ing the stages of Mohkintsis/Calgary since 2023, performing in 300+ str!p, burlesque, and even comedy wrestling shows across Canada over her career! A labourer of love for her community, this Glitterverse-trained, Ontario craft-brewed werkhorse has been broken into a proud showpony of Alberta. This isn’t Mami’s first rodeo everyone, so boot/bra-straps on, and let’s give’er a ride to remember!

Hi! I’m Tim Nguyen! I’m a photographic artist and freelancer, born and raised in Calgary, Canada.
I’m inspired by the Dutch Golden Era of painting, by photographic icons Helmut Newton, Sam Haskins and Annie Leibowitz, by cyberpunk culture, and by the grandeur of live theatre.
I was voted Best Photographer in the Best of Calgary 2020 survey. Most of my career has been spent documenting hundreds of theatre and dance shows. While The Arts is just one portion of my business, it is the community that I came up through and is, without question, where my heart lives.
