In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, we honour and acknowledge Moh’kinsstis, and the traditional Treaty 7 territory and oral practices of the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, îethka Nakoda Nations: Chiniki, Bearspaw, Goodstoney and Tsuut’ina Nation. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Otipemisiwak Métis Government of the Métis Nation within Alberta Districts 5 and 6. Finally, we acknowledge all Nations – Indigenous and non – who live, work and play on this land, and who honour and celebrate this territory.
Midnight Blue Jazz Band is a “traditional” big band with 17 musicians, 2 singers & director. We are based in Calgary, Alberta and in 2021 celebrated our 20 year anniversary. Our repertoire spans a wide variety of styles — swing, jazz, blues, latin, funk, classic rock — whatever fits the occasion. The recent COVID pandemic allowed Midnight Blue to be creative, by forming a drumline; which has been incorporated into its repertoire.
Midnight Blue Jazz Society strives to provide a learning and teaching process, top quality music education to maintain a standard of excellence, peer encouragement in a supportive environment, and the opportunity to perform in public.
The Tornado of Tease
Bitch Sassidy is a burlesque performer, producer, choreographer, instructor, and entrepreneur renowned throughout western Canada. Raised in the Canadian prairies and currently based in Mohkinstsis (Calgary, AB), Bitch has built a prolific career on her dynamic stage presence, rebellious nature, and counterculture, “punk-meets-flapper” aesthetic. Co-founder and artistic director of The Cabaret Company, she has been named in Canada's Top 5 burlesque performers by Imperial Burlesque Canada, making #1 in 2024. Bitch’s involvement in the burlesque community has given her the opportunity to perform across the globe, gracing stages from Vancouver to Berlin, Black Rock to Ibiza, Amsterdam to the UK, Japan and beyond.
Both a seductress of strange and a captivating clown, this performer will always keep you on your toes. One thing’s for sure, it is bound to be a salacious spectacle. Her endeavours include multiple festivals across Canada, including winning “Most Comedic” at the 2019 Edmonton Burlesque Festival. She will thrill you, chill you and fulfill you. She’s so sexy it’s scary, Cruella Corbeau!

Songstress & Striptease Artist- Ivy La Fleur has left her mark entertaining crowd's from East to West. The sweetest of sweet, with the Sass to match - Ivy is a triple threat. Commonly known for her seductive nature, campy stage presence & well rounded character work. She can take any event to the next level. Based in Calgary, AB, Ivy La Fleur is a name in the Burlesque & Entertainment industry that you won't soon forget.
Monday Blues—an electrifying Afro-Indigenous (Ewe-Secpwépemc) burlesque performer and storyteller. Her performances seamlessly blend seduction and empowerment, delivering a resounding message: liberation is incredibly sexy. Experience her earthshaking stage presence, as she infuses every act with ancestral magic and dedication to amplifying representation within her art and community.
Aztec Golden Goddess of Burlesque
Yaretza is a former professional dancer for the National Ballet of Mexico and an Award Winning International Burlesque performer.
Since making her burlesque debut in 2014, Yaretza has headlined and been featured in burlesque festivals around the world, winning multiple awareds including Most Classic and Legends Choice.

Baron is very humbled to have been a part of the burlesque community for almost 15 years. Based in Mohkinstsis (colonially referred to as Calgary), he is a founding member of Glitterverse Productions and with his partner Kara Ka-Pow! and kid Dare Reaire.

Don't let their size fool you, this spitfire is primed and ready to take you down to their level. Armed with their weapons of mass distraction, they will make sure that when it comes time to choose, you will pick Dare every time.
